As I’m sure you all know, there is now a defibrillator located in the red telephone boxes in both Great and Little Barrington.  Although we fervently hope they are never needed, these might potentially save one of our lives.  But for them to be able to help someone in need requires people to be able to operate them. Happily, this is easily learned, and there will be a training session for local residents taking place as detailed above, led by Christopher Tancock from the Pint of Life first aid initiative.

We do urge people to come along if they are able to – these training sessions don’t take long (an hour or so), are very easy, and not too frequent (we’re currently aiming to have one biennially). Even if you have attended one before, it can never hurt to have a reminder!

Without trying to be too dramatic, it really just might make the difference between life and death for someone one day.
