Barrington is a civil parish in the Cotswold District of Gloucestershire. According to the 2001 and 2011 censuses it had a population of 209.

The parish includes the villages of Great Barrington and Little Barrington, on either side of the River Windrush. To the east, the parish borders Oxfordshire.

The Parish Council comprises five Councillors who meet four times a year. Meetings are held in The Reading Room in Little Barrington at 6.00 p.m. on Wednesday or Friday evenings and members of the public and press are invited to attend. The Parish Council welcomes volunteers to help with the two Annual Parish Litter Picks in March/April and September/October each year, to assist with numerous other parish events - listed under News- and to keep the noticeboards in both Little Barrington and Great Barrington in good order. Please contact us if you would like to help with any of these events.

The Reading Room in Little Barrington is available for hire - please contact Cllr Alex Pierre Traves by email apt773@yahoo.com to make a booking, or telephone 07817 924224.

There is also a village hall in Great Barrington, available to hire for larger functions. The main hall comfortably seats 100 at tables without being too cramped, whilst still allowing room for dancing and a bar area.
